Content Summary
We will examine the Bloodline DLC with Aiden Pearce, which is better than the main game of Watch Dogs Legion.
Although players criticize Ubisoft for making similar games, bad vehicle mechanics that make going from one place to another a torture, and an open world format with locations placed far from each other just to prolong the gameplay, there are few companies that can produce games with such a big budget in such short time intervals.
That’s why I consider Ubisoft as a company that produces good games that are based on working mechanics, tell a story and allow the player to pass the time and not be left without a game, even though it never produces a revolutionary game.

Ubisoft is one of the rare companies that can release big games in short time intervals.
Their last game, Far Cry 6, for example, was not liked by the players in Metacritic, but I think it was not bad. Although the open world versions of Tom Clancy’s universe contain repetitive episodes, it did not bore me because I enjoyed playing these episodes. I found it quite successful.
However, despite all my optimism, I could not like the third game of Watch Dogs, Legion. In fact, there were revolutionary features such as being able to add every NPC we saw to our team, with an unexpected courage from Ubisoft. Sometimes we even needed to do small favors to add these NPCs to the team, to get their money from others. However, this very nice idea was meaningless, perhaps because it was overdone, perhaps because the idea did not contribute much to the progress of the main story, except for a few episodes. The job of including NPCs, which were determined and marketed as the most basic dynamic of the game, was good, but it was overemphasized and this good idea did not work because it could not be articulated correctly in the scenario.
The Story of Watch Dogs Series
The Story of Watch Dogs
The story of the first game of Watch Dogs was a dark one rooted in reality. As you know, in 2003, there was a large-scale power outage in America, which actually affected 55 million people. The electricity of nearly 8 states was completely gone for 6 hours, and some places were not powered for 2 days.

New York Times newspaper headline on the 2003 power outage
In the investigation opened after the incident, it was understood that this was caused by a software error in the electricity distribution center. Here, the first game of Watch Dogs was about the events after this power outage. However, in Watch Dogs, the reason for this interruption was not a software bug, but a hack. In order to prevent this hack attack from happening again, the states; they were connecting their water, electricity, internet, telephone and security infrastructures to a single software called CtOS.
Our hero in the game, Aiden Pearce, could easily access the data he wanted on any device connected to CtOS by using the vulnerabilities in CtOS. In this way, they even attempted a big robbery with his partner, but while carrying out this plan, he learned that there were other hackers in the city who could interfere with the system like him, and he was putting his family in danger. He even caused the death of his nephew for this reason, and he would never forgive himself.
The game really offered a completely dark experience with both its atmosphere and story.
The Story of Watch Dogs 2
Although the first game was very popular, there was no long explanation from Ubisoft about the sequel. However, with the quiet years, when the players had cut their expectations from a new Watch Dogs game, Ubisoft announced Watch Dogs 2. However, this time there was not a dark atmosphere as in the first game and an independent hacker group calling themselves DedSec did their work to gain reputation and prevent evil. was the subject.

Watch Dogs 2 offered a very fun game experience with its dialogues and stuff.
Although Ubisoft preserved some of the elements in the first game of Watch Dogs, it changed a lot of things, but still managed to produce a game that we enjoyed playing with its light and fun structure. Especially the Wrench character was a really enjoyable character to follow his dialogues.

Although our main character is different, one of the most memorable characters of Watch Dogs 2 was Wrench.
There was another long wait and finally Watch Dogs Legion was announced to be released.
The Story of Watch Dogs Legion
Our game takes place around the DedSec group we know from Watch Dogs 2. This time our venue is London and yes unfortunately the traffic flows on the right. It’s really hard to get used to.
An explosion called Zero Day is being carried out by dark forces in London. In fact, while DedSec is trying to prevent this, it suddenly finds itself responsible for the events and is declared as a terrorist organization. Our main protagonist, on the other hand, tries to reveal that DedSec is innocent and who is really behind it.

Really nice cover art of Watch Dogs Legion
We were finally learning that those who did this job designed a device with the power to manipulate people’s minds and tried to control all of humanity.
Let’s see what the DLC released for this game tells.
The Story og Watch Dogs Legion Bloodline DLC
Watch Dogs Legion’s Bloodline DLC is about the events that took place before the bombing of London. As described in Legion, there is a technology called BrocaBridge, which is a brain imaging and communication device necessary for the development and spread of technology to manipulate people’s minds. Wrench, whom we know from Watch Dogs 2, seems to predict what will happen, and seizes this technology to prevent a possible bad result and tries to prevent evil.
However, this time, Aiden Pearce, whom we know from the first game, is also involved. Learning that his nephew is not dead, Aiden is forced to make a deal with the bad guys who want to take possession of BrocaBridge and fight Wrench to protect him. Then fate unites Wrench and Aiden Pearce as they fight for the same cause.
Watch Dogs Legion Bloodline DLC General Evaluation
This time, the story has a darker atmosphere than the other games. There is no job to include NPCs in our team. This has been pretty good.

Teaser for Watch Dogs Legion’s Bloodline DLC
The story is easier to follow than other games.
The game has storytelling that lets you play both Aiden Pearce and Wrench. This character change does not grin at all and things are progressing as the story demands. We can say that it is very fun to play with Wrench in particular.

You play as both Wrench and Aiden Pearce in the game.
In some places, animations such as unlocks lag behind a second or two, but this doesn’t cause a problem that slows down the pace of the game. However, maybe due to my system, the loading screens that take longer than they should be at this time make people a little sad, especially when the game opens.

Now, I don’t know if this problem is caused by Ubisoft’s servers, the files are subject to originality control, I don’t know what happens, but the opening of the game takes a really long time.
Apart from that, I think the Watch Dogs series has an important place in general. Although what is described in the game sounds fantastic, many of them are based on scientific facts. Watch Dogs is almost science fiction rather than fantasy.
For example, it has been revealed that it is possible to leak personal data even with the vibration of the computer fan or the sound it makes. You can read the details here.
In addition to all this, Watch Dogs Legion’s Bloodline DLC promises a beautiful story that tells the Watch Dogs story that I find suitable for the beginning of the series and that I miss, and that overlooks the excessive and unnecessary details of Watch Dogs Legion.
I would recommend it to be bought and experienced, especially during these summer days when Ubisoft is giving games with a discount.

Watch Dogs Legion Bloodline DLC Review
Briefly My Opinion
Watch Dogs Legion’s Bloodline DLC is an expansion pack that fits more in the spirit of Watch Dogs than the main game. The excesses and unnecessary additions in Legion have been eliminated and the game has finally reached the point where it gives a good story experience.
